Confidence Builders -ETCG1
Last week (7/2015) I wrapped up work on the frame connectors on my 1979 Fairmont. I’ll admit that I haven’t done all that much welding in my career and therefore don’t consider myself very good at it. But by the time I had finished welding the frame connectors, I felt much better about my work as a welder.
Since completing that task, I now feel more confident picking up my MIG welder and want to do more. I find this to be typical with auto repair as well. The more you do, the more confident you feel about doing it.
My point in this video is to illustrate how conquering your fears is a good way to build confidence. The more you do, the better you’ll get. I still have a ways to go with my welding, but I’m a lot more confident doing it.
