Hello, My fellow stay dirty guys!
My question is: What type of engine coolant (antifreeze) is best for a 2002 Crown Victoria with a 136k and some change. A Master Tech suggested a 100% of the green antifreeze from Autozone would be fine. The car is not overheating, but I found the reservoir with nothing in it and wanted to fill it to where it supposed to be. Any feedback please. :stick:

Since you don’t know what is already in there, I would flush the entire coolant system (it probably needs one any way) and fill er’ up with OEM specified coolant.
With the car cool. open the radiator cap and look at the color
of the coolant. Depending where you live. Either Green coolant
was used (US) or yellow coolant was used.(Canada)If green was
used. Pick up 50/50 premixed of green coolant and top off the
overflow bottle. If gold was used.I would drain the system/flush

I need to fully describe what I posted last night because I was tired from work when I wrote it. I live in Winter Park Orange County, Florida and the car is a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L SFI engine code W… I was told by my Master Technician friend that worked on the vehicle and the car is running smooth to this point; that what was the antifreeze that they use and he stated to me that to go to AutoZone that the car needs a 100% antifreeze and that the green one would be fine and quote. The reason for my question is that I have not worked on this car before and need to do this correctly for educational (do it right) other than just throwing anything in her. I know my friend for a year, and I need to very which green, or is it the extended life green/yellowish antifreeze or a conventional green I found made by Peak. Collegeman is it the Prestone green because I seen a jug that was actually labeled green? :unsure:

This is what you need.

You don’t want pure antifreeze in any car. Either buy the 50/50 premix or buy straight antifreeze and mix it 50/50 with distilled water.
