06 TSX transmission 6 sp

Hello everybody, I got an 06 tsx 6 spd. My first manual and since I bought it about a month ago I noticed in order to go into 1st gear I have to go from neutral to 2nd then 1st then take off. If I try to shift from a stop (neutral to 1st) it will grind. Also have noticed some mornings when I go from neutral to rev it will do it too but not as loud. Can any one tell me if its thr clutch or will a throw out bearing will do that?? Thanks any help is appreciated.
