Picked up a 68 Riv last fall. Running and driving with a horrific flat black paint job with pearl green flames (ugh!). Used 2 gallons of airplane stripper to bring her down to bare metal. Completely disassembled her, cut out all the typical rusted areas (wheel wells, floor pans, bottom of the doors) and fabricated new metal. Engine has been rebuilt and bored .040″ over. POR-15 the entire frame, diff, undercarriage. Painted engine to match the new Viper Silver (I know it’s a Buick but this paint looks awesome!) paint job that is now on the car. Got the interior redone. Put in an air ride suspension. Going to have the new black vinyl top installed. That’s where I am right now. Want to have her finished before the first car show of the season. Want to rechrome the bumpers but, after looking around and seeing what that will cost, decided to just paint them to match the car. Look at the pics and let me know what you think.
