Hi there my truck is hard to start when is cold i turn the key for a couple of second before he start and he idle very rough i have to hold the gas for 15 second at lease and he smoke white and after a minute he idle very good. I was thinking the ( fuel pressure resistor ) or the ( pickup coil ). I order new spark plug wires hopefully that will help.

      Any idea ?

      Thanks for your time 😉

Are you loosing coolant? Pull out the plugs, keep them in order and observe any differences on the tips. If one or two are very clean it might mean a coolant leak into the cylinder. They should all look the same. On the fuel pressure issue, does the truck have a fuel rail with a schrader valve? If so, depress the valve to see if gas is there under pressure. Be careful and do not attempt on a hot or running engine. Use rags to catch fuel. If before attempting to start you have fuel pressure fine, if not, turn the key on and off a couple of times (don’t try to start) then check the pressure at the fuel rail again. Fuel should be present and remain for a long period of time. So if you check and find pressure, repeat the test and wait five minutes and check again.

It’s probably the spider injectors going bad. It’s so common that I can tell you it’s more than likely than. Check fuel pressure with key on engine off and see if it leaks down. If it leaks down more than 1psi every 5 minutes it’s probably the poppets.
