I need help with my ’96 Town Car Executive. The engine won’t idle, but starts fine and will run perfectly fine if you put your foot on the gas.

Me and my good buddy already checked the intake throttle body, and the cords going to it are completely fine, the butterfly valve spring is fine, but the engine refuses to idle.
Not cords, cables.
It’s his car, but we have agreed that it will be categorized as ‘our car’.
I think I found out why it’s not idling
The IAC valve is shot.
