I’m currently working on a 1998 Honda Civic EX with an auto transmission. The car has been sitting outside in a driveway for one year (yes, not ideal). Therefore, the car was far from tip-top shape under the hood when I first inspected it.
The car would not start when I first visited this overall repair. So far, I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump relay, ignition switch, and PVC valve. The fuel pump is operating at the correct pressure and the distributor is also producing sparks for each cylinder. :cheer:
With that said, the car will turn over and fire, but the engine only runs for 2-3 seconds and then stalls. I’m not sure what could be causing this. My best guess is the IACV or fuel pressure regulator…..I’m not 100% sure
Working on Hondas is not my area of expertise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Thomas
