      Bleed the cooling system.

        D’oh I’m ashamed to admit i forgot all about Erics vid on bleeding a cooling system! I suppose I should practice what I preach! I’ll bleed it tomorrow and see what happens

          i vote thermostat if you haven’t been in the cooling system lately to let air in there.

            if bleeding the cooling system does not help. then change the t-stat

                Well i filled up the radiator and overflow and ran the engine at 2500 rpm with the radiator cap off (dont have access to a spill free funnel) When i revved it up the level in the radiator dropped significantly and then when i let off the throttle a decent

                  +2 sounds still like thermostat.

                    Sorry for the delay…. after bleeding the system the symptoms came back yet again. So today I decided to stop messing around and I put in an AC delco thermostat 195*
