I’ve been watching ETCG videos lately and have gleaned much information. However, there’s one thing that hasn’t been made clear to me, either here or elsewhere on the web, and that is “What is the best way to remove the engine and manual transmission with the tools I have?
I have all the tools I need, including a cherry picker, except, for one thing: a way to lift the car. So my question is
1 do I attempt to pull both from the top?
2 do I drop the trans and pull the engine?
    3 is there another option?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I’ll answer my own question. I was able to pull the combo from the top. Remove the front pulley to clear the ABS, remove all components of the trans mount and battery tray, and there’s just enough room to clear everything else. Just remember to hold the AC line out of the way.

Yep, I pulled them together from the top on my 2001 Honda EX. Best way to do it.
