Hi all!
I drive a 2003 Mazda Protege5, 5-spd Manual. My car is due for a major brake service (calipers, rotors, pads, fluid flush, etc). On my previous cars I have had no problems doing brake services. With Eric’s wonderful how-to brake videos, it’s a pretty nice walk in the park. On this car, however, the hydraulic clutch system is also connected via the brake master cylinder so I assume that the hydraulic clutch fluid is also using the same DOT 3 brake fluid. My question is, if I bleed my brakes and add in new brake fluid, do I also have to touch the hydraulic clutch system and bleed that too? I am a bit nervous with the hydraulic clutch system because I have never worked with a hydraulic clutch before.
Anything advice or tips would be appreciated! Thank you!
