Hello, we recently acquired a 2010 Ford Escape 3.0. When trying to start the vehicle the car will crank for an extra few seconds before eventually firing. Sometimes it sounds like a struggle to start, other times it’s okay. I’ve tried to allow the fuel pump to prime a few times to isolate it to a fuel pressure issue. That didn’t seem to help as it still cranked a few seconds past what would seem normal.
Does anybody have any suggestions on where to look?
No codes, no warning lights, fuel level doesn’t matter. The battery also seems to be pretty much brand new.
thanks!
