I am not sure if this is a clutch problem or a problem with the motor mounts. I know that at least the front mount is cracked. When the car is cold, the clutch engages smoothly. After warmup, it shudders violently when starting from a dead stop. It shakes the whole car and its bad enough for people nearby to take notice of it. The clutch disc, pressure plate, slave cylinder and master cylinder were replaced three months ago. The problem started a few weeks after the clutch replacement and has become progressively worse. Any input would be appreciated.

Change the transmission or repair It

        Repair method
You need to weld the transmission case mount because your transmission will always not working. The mount is made whit metal, so, metal expend when heated and become loose. If you had engine vibration all thing goes wrong. If the mount are crack is an excessive long term vibration that cause cracks.
        Before you weld the crack,
1- you need to grind the crack to do a bevel
2-Let the metal to go cold, and strap the mount whit multiple hose steel pipe line up together.
3- Weld the crack whit MIG but you can une SMAW precess that is cheaper can can be done outside. WARNING : DOING OUTSIDE A WELD, YOU NEE TO PUT CARBOARD OR OBJECTS THAT BLOCK THE POWERFUL UV LIGHT. DO NOT EXCEED THE USAGE TIME FOR YOUR WELD MACHINE. cheap one is 2 minutes weld 10 minutes stop.

After all that you need to fix the mount firmly on your car frame and be sure

Thanks for the reply, but I should have been more clear about what was cracked. It is the rubber part of the mount that is cracked.

Oups ! The rubber part help you to protect the transmission mount from dirt. You need to buy the rubber mount and install It. Or you can use special only use rubber glue and glue It. But you must need after the repair to change your transmission oil to clear all the dirt inside and put a oil transmission conditioner.

The mounts probably aren’t helping but I don’t think that’s your problem. It might be that your clutch is glazed. To fix this you can ‘ride’ the clutch in a high gear to ‘burn off’ some of the glazing. Just take it to a parking lot where you wont’ hit anyone. Rev the engine to about 2500-3K. Let the clutch half way out in 3rd gear a couple of times, make sure the engine stays running when you do this. Don’t do this a lot because you’re actually burning your clutch up.

Keep us posted if this helps.
