      This is on a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. Only hot air comes out, no visible signs of leakage along the lines. Compressor only spins for one second then shuts itself off. No freon? Compressor needs replacement? Please advise, thanks!

        Unless you have the skill set and tools required to diagnose a AC system.
        Might consider taking to a qualified shop and have it tested.
