2002 Acura RL, C35A engine – I have the common pinion seal leak on the rear of differential which I am in the process of pulling, but after removing the 36mm sealing bolt I can’t get the extension shaft to unseat with the pulling tool. Any suggestions? If I can’t move the shaft I will not be able to dismount the differential so no point in going further until I overcome this step. I have cranked so hard on the puller I am afraid to damage something internally. Leaving the puller on overnight at max torque has done nothing to loosen things up.

A couple of hits on the case with the rubber mallet loosened things up.
