Are you saying that the blower only blows the fuse on high? High speed doesnt go through a resistor, usually it goes through your blower relay and applies full 12v to the blower

If it only blows the fuse on high check for pinched/broken insulation on the red wire going from the fuse block to the blower relay (behind right side of dash)_x000D_

Also, check that there isnt anything obstructing the blower from spinning freely. Any obstru

was it the 30 amp fuse or 10 amp fuse that blew? Rice is_x000D_
right on the high speed not going through the resistor card._x000D_
you could put an amp meter on it and check the draw. you either_x000D_

Thanks the replies. From what it sounds to him it did blow immediately when he switched it to high, but I can’t confirm it or whether it did blow the fuse on high or another speed. The fuse it blows is a 15 amp in the fuse box in the engine compartment, i

with an ohm meter. disconnect the fan motor. put one_x000D_
lead on high speed terminal and with the other lead_x000D_
touch the outside of the blower metal contact. if resistance_x000D_

mostly fan motor fault (if you ask to me change it.), other thing check the relay (i guess it will be hot when fan is working,if you cant touch that yes exactly your fan motor pulling high amp from sysytem), it must be in

It may be a problem with the fan motor starting to go bad but check the wiring and connector first as suggested above, if the wiring is good then I would replace the motor or at least remove it to see if it’s full of debris that may be causing it to work

Thanks for all the suggestions and help everyone! I will be able to work on it Sunday and will report back on my findings and the results.

So, just an update for everyone, I checked out the car today, and for some reason my multimeter was acting up and I couldn’t get a reading on it. However, the wiring and connector look fine, and I’m thinking if it was a wiring problem it would happen on o

It does sound like your motor is going bad.

We had a vehicle in at work today with the same issue. The blower motor was drawing too many amps and had melted part of the blower motor resistor and connectors._x000D_
