Just picked up a new project.
It’s going to replace my old trustworthy primera, more style and comfort for winterdriving this time, the harsh winters means studded tires as you can see.

Also!
Another RWD! ๐Ÿ˜€

Made a Video this time ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was rather tired after 14 hours of working had just started with making it pretty by stretching up the paintwork a bit.

Looking pretty good there ๐Ÿ™‚

And no my S14 project is still ongoing, no replacement this, far too low powered to be named a replacement ๐Ÿ™‚

Righty, new days, new problems, new findings, etc.

When going back from work it was about minus 5 ish, I noticed it didn’t idle properly when cold.
bought a oil filter, oil (cause I assumed it wasn’t in good condition)
And I was not mistaken!!!

and before I knew it I had changed the oil, taken apart some of the inlet and removed and cleaned the IAC valve (idle air control)

It helped a bit, it would not stall at all anymore, but still rough idle, just minor.
Got spark plugs coming in from UK along with a fuel filter, I assume it’s going to do the trick banana:

Edit: Plugs are in! Iridium sparks ๐Ÿ™‚

Looked like it was needed, all of the old ones!

You’ve got oil on outside of a few spark plugs. That means you need a new valve cover gasket.

hehe, yeah! it’s not bad at all though ๐Ÿ™‚
they’ve been there for 60 000 miles.
Workshops are very expensive here, and that’s why cars almost never gets serviced, you got timing belts that people do, but other than that.. bare minimum, I’m rather neat with my mechanical maintenance as I do everything myself.

also the guibo and driveshaft bearing needs replacing.
if you give throttle, it takes a little bit of time then you hear a minor “dunk” sound, it’s guibo.
if you got newly balanced tires (replaced rubber on summer tires) and still got some minor vibration, it’s the bracket that supports the driveshaft (between gearbox and differential)

Also, getting a proper LSD for it, those are 3 out of 4 things on my list to do before next winter.
I also need to replace the handbrake shoes, the pins that hold the handbrake shoes broke, and everything inside turned to 1000 pieces..
