            Hi

Could you give a little more detail as to the problem. Such as any noises any vibration, hesitation, Temp change?

It could be as simple as a some dirt blocking the fuel line and at idle not allowing enough fuel to the intake.

Check your air filter and air intake system for any restriction… However, based on the limited information we have it sounds like something concerning the Idle Air Control Valve…

              All the best!

i agree with what Toyota Karl says, makes sense, that would explain why the car suddenly dies when you come to a stop, when you drive the car the throttle plate opening and closing controls engine speed, but when you let of the gas the throttle plate closes, it is then up to the IAC Valve to control airflow.

it is possible you have no engine codes because it is still functioning properly, there may be some excessive carbon build up in your IAC, take your intake apart and have a look down inside the throttle body and see if its really filthy, if it is get some throttle body cleaner and spray it down really good, take a old tooth brush clean it out, then take a rag and polish out the excess residue. if you can un bolt the IAC valve itself, and give it a good cleaning, and the passage for it as well and give it a good cleaning.

keep in mind if you have to un plug anything electrical to disconnect your battery, and also when you start the car if you used throttle body cleaner keep in mind it may be hard to start at first because the throttle body cleaner in the intake may make a little bit of a rich condition.

no hestitation,no noise, temperature is good, the car will idle good for a couple of minutes ….while the car is idling the rpm will drop very low the engine would shake a little but wont shut off and then the idle will kick back up again an after a little while it will eventually shuts off….otherwise the car is working great…

it is possible when your car first starts up your IAC is open a little more to allow higher revs at start up to warm up, then if the passage for the IAC is plugged with carbon it won’t be bothered so much, then as it closes a little more flow is restricted too much and it runs rough and stalls, once again check your throttle body, see if its carbon fouled and if it is clean it out good, same with the IAC passage, see if that makes a difference. a can of throttle body cleaner and a old toothbrush are cheep.

If memory serves that engine is famous for cam sensor failures. Usually sets a code though. In a situation like this, you need to find out what goes missing when it stalls, spark or fuel. This article may help you with that.

There could be a voltage issue. A bad cell in the battery is a possibility. Check all battery cables as well as the other ends of them at the alternator, starter and power distribution block and the ground leading to the engine and the chassis.

If all those are good and the battery tested good, then have the codes read again. A vehicle that new should be throwing codes of some sort.
