My 2008 Honda Pilots throwing a code p2413. It’s the code for an EGR valve. I pulled the valve off, and the upper intake cover, and the passages are clean. The valve did have some carbon buildup, but not much. The valve itself is rusty on the outside. The OEM part is around $220 from the local dealer, and online.
I’ve got a few questions, is there a way to test this valve without expensive shop tools? Is the aftermarket part from the local store ok to use?
