      This goes along with just how bad todays cars are On a 2007 Chevy pick up a, friends truck. The flasher went bad
      and here is the deal. Its a electronic flasher Cost 170.78 dealer only part
      WHAT THE HELL is this and why is this suppose to be better than the old time flashers that would have cost about 5 bucks
      looks like these engineers have been smoking some mean crap

        I find your flasher on-line for about $80. As for the Engineers. My little commuter car has plenty of pep, runs like a Singer Sewing Machine (Old School), and gets better than 36 MPG Average. Because of the skills of the Engineers and inspite of their design restrictions, you get to choose the performace you like. If you want lots of power in a truck to pull heavy loads you can have it. On the other hand if you want a truck that gets good gas milage you can have that also.

            Are we talking about a flasher relay for your indicators or am I misunderstanding?

              I’m wondering how you’ve come to the conclusion the flasher is bad. It could be some other condition causing the problem. Just a thought.

                the turn siginal on the right rear was not working the right front worked after going over the tec sheets we replaced the turn signal module witch was once the turn signal flasher and all was well I just dont see just how good this is the module cost 167’00
                were a old school flasher would have cost about 5 bucks

                  I see your point. The irony is that it probably cost less to produce the electronic part (the circuit board) than it did to produce the mechanical part (the flasher). So in a way I think that answers your question. A larger profit margin for the manufacturer. Thanks for the clarification.
