      Hi
I have a 2005 Mazda Mpv 3ltr engine that will not turn over it has a good battery and a good rebuilt starter but it still will not turn over .
I can turn the engine over by hand in a counter clock wise direction but not in a clock wise direction . i believe the Neutral Safety Swtich is good because when i put it in gear i get nothing at all not even a click but in neutral or park it tries to turn over but seems like it is jamed .
I need a little help with this one for sure .
      Thanks truly .

        I found my problem .
It is the Alternator that is siezed up and not allowing the belt to turn while i was trying to start the engine . I reliesed the tension from the belt and it started rite up . Now i got a big job to replace my alternator .

Well you did your diagnostic. You can replace only the alternator bearing or you can replace the entire alternator.
