ETCG Video Suggestion

Hey,

I am part of a few forums and there is a lot of people asking, hey, why does my truck stall when coming to a stop.

Would be a cool video to show how you, ETCG would try to diagnois this issue. I would love to see this video! Maybe even with scanner danner! But would like to see your old school methods.

Incase you’re wondering – it would be for the 3rd generation of Dodge Rams.

Such questions as:
” I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7. The truck will stall out when I’m coming to a stop from second gear. I have narrow it down to this very issue and can replicate the stalling 100% of the time. It does not stall when coming to a stop from 1st, 3rd or 4th gear. Also, I tried shifting from 2nd to neutral then pressing on the brake and it does not stall.”

And explain maybe why the truck stall, or what the computer is doing that shuts the truck down. :dry:

Sounds like a good suggestion. But it can be many reasons for a stall in full stop.

I had a kind of a stall in stop on my 3rd generation durango. I did alot of diagnois on the car whit videos from Eric on my iPad laying on the side. I found the issue and changed the TPS and the EGR valve and the car was not stalling anymore.
And by the way, changing EGR valve on a Hemi is a dream. Changing EGR valve on a Magnum is a nightmare…
