Felpro Head Gasketes – which side up?

I have installed head gaskets before that state THIS END UP on one side so you know which side should face the head and not the block.

It might not matter. Unless it specifically says this side up I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

If you are unsure of the gasket orientation, you could possible call Felpro and ask, or look in the service manual and see if there is mention of a specific way the gasket it supposed to go.

One thing I always do is lay the gasket in place and look at how it lines up with the block, yes the coolant passages will be different but for the most part head gaskets only go on one way if you look closely. I also think that the striped side faces the block if that helps.
