A forum member reached out to me not long ago and was asking about hiring a female into his shop. That conversation got me to thinking about this topic. What do you think?

I think its very simple; It is the level of skill the person has. Male or female. The best person for the job. I am absolutely convinced that woman can be as good, if not better in some things then men.
If a shop owner is looking for a new emplyee, and it happens to be a woman, the olther mecanics will have to acknowledge the skill that that new employee has, and be professional about it. If not, take some official steps to deal with that…!
To be honest, I as a male, do find it awesome to see a girl do repairs, and get her hands dirty.
I like to see videos of Rachel Gingell, of Steiner tractors. Simple but informative. She really seems to know her stuff. And thats all that matters.
