Hi, im replacing my water pump on my 99 civic si B16a2 and i noticed on the water pump housing (on the block) its has some small light pitting in a couple of spots. i know your not suppose to use honda bond or anything when installing. so my question is do just install the water pump with the seal and hope its doesnt leak or use honda bond in this situation?

Could use some high tack gasket adhesive on the water pump face to attach the gasket and would also seal the surface.

honda bond a basic silicone gasket seal compound.
Where Permetex High Tack Adhesive is meant to hold a gasket in place.

I usually use the spray, but the liquid will work just as well.
                Just apply as instructed.
