Actually quite a common mod here in the states. However, they say, “hundreds of hours of work went into this car” and then they never mention it again. Well, the car needs an entire new fuel system as in bigger. They do show a little of the computer programming that needs to be done.

Taking the average WRX or STI and doing this is scary. Stock Subaru engines do not last long when the power is increased. They need all forged internal components.

The way you get more power is by spark advance. However too much spark advance will break any engine whether it is detonating or not.
