      I have a year 2000 Nissan maxima that sometimes does not start without my foot on the gas pedal. When it starts I have to keep my foot on the gas and very gradually take it off for it to idle. It will idle rough and then it eventually shut off by itself. How do I fix this?

        As additional information about the 2000 Maxima with the idle problem, there is no check engine light on.

          Check to make sure these guys are plugged in and functioning.

            Try cleaning the throttle plate and the iac valve and see what happens.
