are you on about steel seal i rate it the best of the poor in gasket fix’s but it cost the most they offer money back guarantee! but its hard and long
What will Steel Seal not fix?
Steel Seal will not seal leaks in hoses, seals, water pumps, or extremely large cracks in the head or block resulting in the vehicle not starting. If it does not run Steel Seal can not work as it relies on temperature
If you have oil in your coolant to, don’t forget to use a oil engin stop leak. Orthe wise, the seal will not set perfectly. I found also an another Epoxy base : http://www.headgasketsealers.com/. But, as the other wrote before, if you have the place and tools do your head gasket yourself. If you have the money to pay 2000 us $ to change It by a professionnal orther than Ericthecarguy in Ohio (because we did not live near this state to do the job). Personally I trust at 100% Ericthe carguy, but whit a head gasket faillure, the engine can be destoy whit a overheat. If you are like me that have no orther option, well try It. I used SealSteel, It’s work great. Exept I found few day later I need to put in the Lucas engine oil stop leak to patch It correctly.
I trust a 100 % Eric method and is work. But like orther people I’m too far from the USA and near broke. So, I use mail to get my SteelSeal.
What does a “small leak in my engine” mean? If it’s a head gasket, don’t try to prolong the inevitable. You need to get it repaired at a shop, or by someone capable of repairing it. The “quick fix” things you add to your engine don’t fix a failed gasket, at least for long and you will never know when you are out in the car driving and it will completely break down on you. I agree with Johnbcobb on that one.
A small leak I mean is when you have saw at 10 `c and above white vapor comming out the exhaust pipe at idle and not when the car is runig. Usually come whit a coolant smell. This kind of fix can be PATCH but for bigger leak (a big whit vapor during the acceleration is a gasket replacement ass well.
Plasmide56, I’ve been driving for 30 years and I’m fairly poor so sometimes you gotta try the cheaper things (like sealant in a can/tube) to get by for now. I’ve tried some over the years but not had much luck (and don’t remember the names of the ones I did try). A head gasket leak is an issue that will have to be addressed by replacing the gasket and head bolts sooner rather than later since your car won’t be mechanically sound until it is fixed proper. There is so much stress and violence within a car’s internal combustion engine as it is running that quick fixes will only work for a short time. I had to pay a mechanic to replace my car’s head gasket and some other things last year and yes, it costed me about $1,100. Had to borrow the money but I didn’t have the time, tools or skills to do that type of work. Good luck and hope you get it fixed!
