So, in the past week or so my batter has been dead every morning. So when the weekend got here I decided to do a paracidic draw test. I broke out the multimeter, put it on 10A and disconnected the negative battery cable and put a lead on the battery post and on the negative battery cable. and the meter reads 0.00. No matter what I did that is all it would read. I even tried opening the door to see if that did anything and it didn’t. I also changed the meter from 10A to 200ma and even 20ma and still 0. Is it as simple as a blown fuse in the multimeter or am I doing something wrong?

        Hi there.

First, check you’ve put the leads in the right holes on the multimeter. The black should be in ‘com’ and the red in the ’10A’ hole. If still no go then check the fuse in the meter by opening it up. It’s probably blown. If not, then your meter’s goosed.
