        Hi! ๐Ÿ™‚

I personally had to use an electric oil pump to do my oil change on my 2002 Fiat Punto JTD, which I bought used and obviously someone had overtightened the oil cap, so it doesn’t want to come off anymore. (maybe with an air impact? I’ll try next time ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I have to say I had my doubts, but it really works, only thing is to have the oil somewhat warm (not hot!) to make it more fluid and ease the pump’s work.

The only problem I see is that with this method some trace of oil will remain in the sump, but it’s not much I think, at least judging by the noise the pump starts to make when trying to suck up the last drops of oil :cheer:

The pump I use is this:

        Hope it helps!

Hi, that particular oil pump I bought in a big mall , but I’ve seen it online here in italy too.

Alas, I don’t know its english name (here it’s called “Mario il cambia olio”).
I’ve seen something in english-speaking internet shops, such as this:

            Home depot

or this one on ebay.com searching “electric oil changer”

            Electric oil changer

And in some other forums I’ve read to look in marine tools shop, I think it used very often to change oil in boat’s engines.

            Hope this helps! :cheer:

Hmm do these get the bottom gunk out which run out when you use the plug?

The device suck the gunk if the oil inside is hot. ๐Ÿ™‚

Il love this device because I can ajuste the oil level as the temperature are between -40`C to 40ยฐC (winter and summer)

                        Hi! ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you mean? I always change the oil filter!
To not to change it alongside the oil is a false saving, in fact if you don’t change the filter, all the gunk inside it will be dissolved and put again in circle by the detergence of the new oil

It’s imperative to change the oil filter too!
Your engine will thank you every time ๐Ÿ™‚

Synthetic filter is good for 20 000 kilometer (purple synthetic oil). It’s made all with fiberglass layers.
But I agree whit you, you better to change the filter even if on the filter package is wrote other company fact.

                              Ahh! I hadn’t watched it yet (now I have ๐Ÿ™‚ ) so I didn’t get it ๐Ÿ˜†

Yeah, he didn’t change the filter (or at least he didn’t show the procedure)

I had never seen such an electric-less oil extractor, very clever, and you can use it even if you don’t have an electric plug near you ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the video and the explanation and sorry for the mistake
