I have a 2003 model Mitsubishi Lancer . We had paneling done on the dashboard a long time ago. Now the paneling have worn off but the residue of the gum used still remains there. Is there any way to remove it with out damaging the dashboard ?

strike one. one more, and a weeks ban will happen. please be careful what you post, this is a family website. And posting huge images of things does cause issues on some peoples computers.

Have you tried goo gone…it’s in a yellow container, they use it to remove stickers and adhesives.

As for your orgiinal queston, start with mineral spirits and take your time. Naptha might be a second choice depending on the composition of the glue, but test it on an out of the way area first. Do not use gasoline or acetone the first is too dangerous and the second will melt your dash. I would not use any kind of pain stripper.

Again. Whatever you try, test it for yourself and read the instructions on the container.
