Wondering if I should put seafoam in my 95 subaru station wagon. I have been getting an intermittent CEL pulled the code’s and one was for the coolant temp sensor and the other is an engine knock sensor. Well I decded to put 89 octane in instead of the 87 I normally put in. Well the CEL has not come on since and a subaru guy who is rebuilding his engine told me to put seafoam into it to clean out all the carbon build up…I was just wondering if that’s a good idea or what my cheapest alternitive is to clean the engine out from the inside the combustion chamber…

Seafoam is pretty good for the price,tough jobs cheveron techron or if you have a few more$$ B&G 44k
I have been wondering this myself, and I hope that Eric will make a video of this sometime, not that it hasn’t been done before, but because after watching Eric, everyone else on YouTube look like ametures. I don’t want a demo, I want to be entertained!

Putting Seafoam in your car isn’t gonna fix your coolant temp sensor or the knock sensor but for removing carbon it seems to work as well as anything else I have used.
