      We have a 1999 Chevy C2500 Base Cab box truck. Gvr is 8600 with the 5.7 Vortec. Was driving and it made a weird pop died but started back up.. Also oil pressure runs low and drops to 0 & check gauges light comes on?

        I would start by checking the oil psi with a manual gauge. If it’s low, it may be time for a replacement.
