So I kept getting these misfire codes that would come and go on their own. Figured I’d check the plugs. So I changed them out today.

Looks like your plugs might be burning too hot:

Hey Wrench what does a reddish color of plugs mean?

When I changed mine all of the electrodes were reddish in color.

think it might be high speed glazing..?

cause: high temperature in combustion chamber during hard acceleration; misfiring at high speeds

recommendation: replace plug, possibly with colder plug is driving habits warrant. (it’s a nice way of saying ‘if you’re a speed freak.’)

I would check spark plug’s the gaps w/ that disk tool. U can look at the car manual for the right specs. U could also soaked the spark plug in gas to clean them. The spark plugs wires could be mess up.

To me they look a little lean. But according to this chart
                    they are normal.

Well, I replaced them anyway. With auto lite copper core cheap plugs. The wires looked good still. And they were some Bosch ultra premium. Got a new cap and rotor to go on today. Also cheap stuff. Check engine light went off though. Hopefully stays off this time.
