Hey bud. I have access to a service info site, and I checked for the Suzuki Swift 2006 model. It wasn’t an option, so I looked at a Suzuki Aerio, even though I don’t know what that is. I also checked the same model year Aveo. Both showed that there were the typical 3 nuts on top of a macpherson strut. Is it possible the nuts are under the black collar you are seeing? I don’t want to give you bad info and have the strut explode in your face. Also, are these front or rear struts? I checked front, but I wouldn’t think it would make a difference. Overall, I would think the middle nut would be the one that holds the assembly together.

there has to be something holding the strut plate to the strut tower. don’t take off the center nut. you will release the spring.

Hey guys and its looks like I will be removing the center nut because there is a second one under the black collar that holds the spring

            Thanks for the help

If it’s like an Aveo, I think you are right – there seems to be a single nut that holds the top of the strut in there.

              This shows how it’s done:

Nice! The thing you’re going to have the hardest time with is the stabilizer link I’m sure, here is a video where I cover that, it’s not the same vehicle but the principals are the same.

I thought the Aveo was a Daewoo Kalos?

EDIT: Checked wikipedia, we’re both right. The swift is also based on the Kalos.
