I was driving my brothers car (1997 Honda Accord SE 2.2L) and I noticed that the suspension on the front driver side was making quite a bit of squeaking noise as it traveled up and down. Does that mean it needs to be replaced? The car does have 200900 miles on it and as far as I am aware the shocks/ spring have not been replaced before. I did have to get a ball joint for that side recently that I had to get to pass inspection.

there is alot of moving parts there other than just the struts. if its a noise you can duplicate on the spot nothing better than just to take it to a shop most will look at the car and tell you what you need done on the spot no charge.

You most likely have worn bushings.

I will probably attempt to take the car then to a shop and have them look at it. The only issue is that my brother went back to college for the semester so it will be a while before I can do anything.
