What I do is use my drain pan that as lines that tell you how many quarts are in the pan so you know how much came out for sure.
You can buy them at most auto parts stores or even walmart has them cheap.

Ok well to be safe, how many should I buy? Because I cant drive once I start. Eric said in the acura video 3qts so maybe buy 4?

You should look into purchasing a factory service manual for the vehicle, as that is always good info to have. It should provide specs on how much is needed to refill during a drain and fill. Here’s a video Eric just did on his Subaru that will give you the idea:

Aye, figured it was a Honda, since you said Honda fluid. Again, ESPECIALLY with Honda automatics, don’t use anything but Honda fluid. If you go to the dealer, they will be able to answer your questions about which fluid, and how much.

Honda ATF DW-1 replaces the Z1 and it is backwards compatible with Z1. Z1 is not being produced anymore so you can only buy DW1 unless someone has old stock.

Yes you can mix Z1 with DW-1. I did it and had no issues.

Here is a video that I did on changing Honda automatic transmission fluid, you’ll need 3 quarts, in the video I mention ATF-Z1 and shortly after I posted that they went to DW-1 so ignore that part.
