      I’m looking at a used 2011 Fiesta and the car has a transmission light on. The owner says that the transmission was replaced a few months ago and the light never went off but has no problems and drives fine. I haven’t seen the car yet in person to plug my code reader in but I was wondering if this could be a red flag and to not waste my time looking. Any ideas?

        The choice is up to you.
        You could scan for codes, but if the transmission was changed, you would assume the shop that did it would have checked and repaired the issue.
        Now, if it was a DIY replacement who knows what may have transpired.
