Volvo XC90 Gear Shift Stuck, will not shift out of park, or back into park

I wanted to pass this along, and give a few details on how I diagnosed this issue. So, I am driving home and I love to play when driving my wife’s Volvo XC90, it has a manual shift (geartronic, similar to Porsche’s triptronic, yea I compare my Volvo to a Porsche W;)) transmission, and with the turbo…man, it is fun. For a 6,000 pound vehicle, that thing can really get the blood pumping.
