It’s been a long road and I thank those of you that have stuck with us through this transition and welcome those of you that are new to ETCG.com. Special thanks to Onyx for all his hard work on the site, he truly deserves the title “Webmaster”, so be sure to thank him for all of his hard work when you get the chance.
So this will be the place where you can open up about the new site. What do you like? What do you NOT like? What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see LESS of? What do you think about the new forum? So many questions as well as those that you might have so fire away I’d love to hear your feedback.

I think it is great…..
The two things I wanted in the last site have been added (preview of thread when you hover over it with the mouse & thread title in the open tabs).
So far it looks sweet to me
So far I like it. Its a lot faster, which is a major improvement.
Premium access for 20 bucks doesn’t sound too bad, that gets videos before they are out to the public and such?

For $20 you have access to Videos in FULL LENGTH before they hit youtube and will soon feature a comment section at the bottom of each video (another month) But to read more about it definitely look at this link:

not to mention the $1 off VManuals streaming or download. Hope that helps there is a lot more to that and that document explains it very well.
BTW the streaming works on both iphones and android and on the site 😛
Well being another web design guy I like to give my dislikes and likes on a forum.
My dislikes.
- I don’t like the forum software that is being used. I really don’t like how it functions. I’m not sure what the software you used is but I typically prefer PHPbb or vBulletin. However I wouldn’t expect you to pay the outrages fees for vBulletin for a software you can get free hence why I say PHPbb. Its free but can do the same thing.
- My second dislike. I really don’t like how everything is squished to the middle of the site. Its a cool them but just hard one the eyes sometimes. May I suggest that perhaps you add an additional theme. However it isn’t a big deal. I can live with it just suggesting.
My likes
- I really do like the youtube video integration. That is always a nice feature to have on any forum so score on that part.
- I like the speed. Whoever is doing the hosting has a pretty decent server speed. So I give a score on that.
- Now premium membership. Once again that is brilliant. I feel that would be a good way to make some profits for the website and even get your name out there more. So score on that one.
So final score.

Very nice, and congrats Eric. How about no advertizing for 1 yr premium members (like me)?. Also maybe a “Premium Member” badge under our screen name… That’s a plus on other car forums I belong to.
Guess this could go into the website suggestions too?.

I no longer wait and wait for my responses to be done by the site.
Nicer and much faster.The youtube video integration but you had to know how add videos, not seen how its really changed so can’t comment.
I do not like seeing 1/4 of my screen being displayed for the forum
The stock avatars as they are the same as the XP ones and Microsoft may lose it.
Keep up the work though.
the youtube integration in the forum is quite easy just look for the video list, select youtube and put the video id in there and your done.
You can upload your own avatar!
Great but, all the pictures I posted on the forum for the 12v loadpro leads hath vanished old boy !!

unfortunately all the picture really got the axe because of how they were setup in the database. you can add more if you like.
Another issue is the mobile site.
When browsing off a phone you do not get a choice in which site you go to desktop or mobile.
even with my anroid having a firefox extension that makes sites load as desktop this site keep loading in its mobile version.
I am not a fan of mobile sites and i like the plain desktop view.
