Hey y’all. I experienced a loss of oil pressure in my 351C. The thing ran progressively worse too. Upon teardown, the no. 1 intake valve stuck in the guide 1/4″ off the seat, bent the pushrod, and barely kissed the piston. The pump seemed okay upon teardown, and the distributor gear mesh to the cam and pump driveshaft all looked okay.

Will a hung open intake valve be the cause of no oil pressure?

        In a word, no.

Cool. thanks. The engine was rebuilt a short time ago and the bearings didn’t look worn at all. Time to verify the sender, gauge, and pull out a caliper and mic.

          Thanks.
