Interrogate Your Customers? -ETCG1
Recently I had a customer come into the shop with a complaint his vehicle was stalling. I really couldn’t find anything that would be a potential cause, so I recommended he replace the idle air control valve as a guess.
He came back a couple of weeks later with the same problem. After taking to him again, and trying to move the vehicle in the shop, I found out that the brakes were sticking. This means there was a LOT the customer had left out when describing the problem to me. The last thing I would suspect to cause a stalling problem is brakes.
Does this mean we have to interrogate our customers every time they come in? Perhaps so.
As always, I look forward to your comments
