YouTube and the Future of ETCG -ETCG1

For some time now the views on my videos have been on the decline. I believe there is more than one reason for this. In part I think it’s because I’ve changed my format over the past couple of years. In addition to that, YouTube has made changes that have made it harder for my subscribers to know when I’ve put out a new video.

The combination of these 2 things has caused me to rethink the future direction of my EricTheCarGuy channel. I’m faced with leaving things the way they are, changing the format, or leaving YouTube altogether. I’d rather not leave YouTube, but it’s getting harder and harder to maintain my operation because of the drop in views and income.

That leaves changing the format to something different geared toward multiple views. Some might call this ‘click bait’.

No matter what, I don’t feel I can ignore these issues. In fact, I’d rather address them sooner rather than later.

Before I do anything, I want to finish the #FairmontProject. I feel I owe that to the fans of the show. After that, I’ll reassess the situation and decide what to do next.

No matter what I appreciate ALL of my viewers, and I always will. I wouldn’t have the privilege of doing this job without you.
