The reason I ask for a video on brakes, is because the car I am looking at, the owner says the only thing it is over due for, is new brakes, he says the front is bad shape and the rear is getting very close. And I would rather do my own brakes so I know it’s done correctly with the correct lubrications.

I have a few questions for Ericthecarguy about the Video on cars that sit, and if there are any videos that answer my question, please post, I would love to see them! When you got the 93 Vigor, was it in bad shape? Were there alot of repairs you needed to perform to make it reliable? Also, I’m looking to purchase Vigor, would it be possible (Only if you’ve got spare time) to do a video on how to service the brakes on it if you haven’t already? Also, would you advise an individual against buying a car that has sat for some time? Is the value of a car that has sat Lower than one that is a driven vehicle? Assuming both are low miles?

Not sure what the issue was, but it went away…. I drove down the back road and put it in neutral again, and RPM was normal, so I guess I won’t do anything, if it’s not broke I’m not fixing it

I’ve got an evap code as well, but I have an idea of what it is, and it doesn’t affect my performance, and I recently had an RPM issue, but I would get the codes repaired, the issue COULD go away. and for it to be shaking while accelerating, that’s Strange. And, I didn’t know that trick about Chrysler, that’s neat, why can’t all vehicles do that?? We wouldn’t need Computer Scanners lol

I know what you mean and understand where you’re at. My personal take on this is… I have a larger toolbox (Craftsman) in my father’s garage (Yes, I live at home, still young.) I keep that for repairing friend’s cars, and it holds ALL my tools, I keep the oil changing tools in one drawer so I have them. Needless to say, a full sized service jack. However, I keep a little 2 ton trolley jack in my trunk, along with a tire iron for anyone I find on the side of the road, with OLD hand tools, and basic wrenches incase someone needs help on the side of the road. This way, I’m prepared.
