350z. I had one before my Mustang and loved it. Decent power, great handling, awesome looks, etc. The only bad thing is it being a 2-seater.

Do NOT get an RX-8. Bad fuel economy, flooding tendencies, horrible reliability and so on. Not to mention they are really slow. Big V8 fuel economy coupled with 4-cylinder power and the reliability of an exotic. No thanks.

It’s a great product, I have used it for years with great results. It’s a tad on the expensive side, but it is a great example of ‘you get what you pay for’.
Just prepare for lots of smoke if you put it in the throttle body. ๐Ÿ˜€

Depends on your opinion as far as mine goes. Technically it was a “Banana Yellow” (as I called it) ’79 Ford LTD, however I sold it before I turned 16 and then I got an ’86 Monte Carlo with a 4.3… that was the first car I actually drove on the streets. I still miss that thing.

Welcome! I had a ’90 Accord for a couple months a few years ago. It had your standard Honda fender rust spots but it was solid other than that. It only had 117k miles on it, ice cold A/C and the guy only wanted $1000. Needless to say I jumped on it. I absolutely loved that car but then I ended up selling it for double the amount I paid for it… couldn’t resist. That was a great car though. I still miss it.

Awesome Terminator. I wanted one but couldn’t justify the price vs. a new 5.0. The 5.0 is ok I guess, I just wish it had the s/c whine. ๐Ÿ™‚

I like when they blow the plugs right out of the heads because there isn’t enough threading. Good work Ford.

I do enjoy a Fox body Mustang but man the interiors are so bad on them it almost ruins the car for me.

I love both cars! I used to have a 72 MG MGB which i miss. My plan for that was to drop in a E7 302 but decided to sell the project to pick up another Foxbody Mustang.

I cant wait to get the opportunity to drive the new 5.0 Coyote motor though!

Thanks! They really are very different worlds, the Stang has a lot of power and creature comforts whereas the Triumph is a very ‘pure’ driving experience. The new Coyote is a decent motor, the car is no Corvette but it does ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m with everyone else here, I wouldn’t bother. If the engine is running fine then leave it alone because it doesn’t have a ton of miles on it. Yeah they are high but nothing crazy. And as Eric stated, if it is junk just get a junkyard unit, I guarantee a Cavalier engine will be cheap and most places give them a small warranty.

Sure, with enough time and money, you can do just about anything. They are both ecotec motors but i’m not exactly sure if the cobalt ss/tc engine would have the same mounts. IIRC the cobalt ss sc would fit but even then, most just bolt on the supercharger to their stock 2.2. With what you have in mind, you’re gonna be spending quite a bit. Don’t forget you’ll also be needing PCM tuning and things of that nature.

Yup, with the amount of money you would be spending on that project you might as well just trade it in/sell it and buy a real Cobalt SS. It would honestly cost a fortune by the time you got the motor, got it in, mounts, new ECM, tranny?, etc.

                                From the Galveston news lol.

The two-seater, with 16 cylinders and four turbo chargers, can reach speeds of more than 250 mph. New models sell for about $2 million. The man, who refused to give his name, was looking at real estate in Galveston.About 3 p.m. a low-flying pelican distracted him as he traveled north on Interstate 45 just south of the hurricane levee near Omega Bay.The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon. The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.
