Hey Eric, love your videos! I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu with a 3.5 V6. It has ran good ever since i bought it two years ago, but occasionally when I go to start it, it either doesn’t start or sputters and dies. There are no codes that my reader picked up but there is a heavy gas smell when this occurs. Any ideas what could be going on?

Hey Eric! Big fan here, love your videos. Here’s an interesting one… I have a 1997 Chevrolet K1500 pickup, it’s black and looks like the one your dad gives you! So some time ago, I was working on the fuel pressure regulator and forgot to disconnect the battery and to make a long story short, the top engine caught on fire. The top intake was off so that did not get damaged. The only things I lost were some wiring and the fuel injectors. Do you think that this truck would be worth rewiring and rebuilding? It has 150k miles and no rust besides the bed rails. Here is a picture of the fire damage, hopefully this helps for advice. Thanks!!

Hey Eric! I bought a 1997 chevy k1500 pickup about a month ago. It had a gas leak, which I was diagnosing. The fuel pressure regulator was leaking and caught fire. The damage wasn’t too severe, I lost all of my fuel injectors, and some wiring harnesses. I checked the compression on the engine and it was fine. Do you think it would be worth to have the damaged components repaired? I had the intake off when it happened. I threw a picture in of the damages, hopefully it helps.
