I had a Nissan 200zx that was making the same sound over 2000rpm. I had it to Nissan to check the “sirene” noise but then could not find any noise.

This is the answear i got:

Nissan have confirmed that the siren noise is indeed coming from the Turbo, and not the pipes. There is no air leak. The turbo is fit and healthy. Apparently it’s just the small differences in the manufacturing tollerences that means that some turbo’s will be louder than others.

The turbo keep on whit this noise the noise was never get any worse and the turbo never broke down.

So maybe the noise is nothing to wory about….

The hole is not big, its a gap on 1-2mm as i can see. The puff noise is not that loud when the engine is warm, so i gues that the expansion when the manifold is warm almost seals the hole.

Hi Eric,

I started repair in a young age, well maybe not all the time repair but taking things apart to just see how it worked and never get I As the time has gone I see the logic to things and can also do the repairs and set things correctly back in place, and it will work also 🙂

It have not always been repairs on car’s but all kind of other things from house, electrical, boat’s and excavators. Many of this has been done as a hobby and not a full time job.

Repairs on car’s did I start whit when I got a car myself, and the latest years before I found out about the EricThecarGuy I was reading in repair books to find a solution on the problem I had. But after I found out about the EricThecarGuy page I could relay get some good tips and tricks to solving things on the car.

So thanks to you Eric I have developed my ability to do repairs to a higher level, and save a lot of money.

I will also add that you are very skilled to educational explain how things working and how to solve things, so keep on Eric banana:

Hi Eric. Im going from Norway to the state from the 15 of juli and gonna have a two week road trip. Im seriously consider to come on to the 2013 meet up. You have realy give me the Inspiration to do things on my car and offcourse help me to save alot of money.
So it would be an honor to meet you at the 2013 meet up. You realy take alot of your time to help alot of peapol out there by making the video, i have great respect for this.

Thanks for the reply. I will check this information out. I have been in Orlando before and think this is a Nice place. But the plan is to drive south for some days and then maybe drive up the west coast of Florida.
