humm maybe you had one problem then the 02 sensor just finally came up. most of the time it would catch up right away. how about a simple tuneup? have you done that since the car had sat? something is strang here and i am kinda drawing a blank. are you sure you did the power balance test right? sorry i don’t mean to be rude and 2nd guess your work but something just don’t make sense. did you try the pinching off of the brake booster and heater control vacum lines and see if that helped?

i hope some one els can see what i am missing here.

check engine light on? is this one turbo charged? does it have a tach and does it act funny when the engine does?

there is your problem!! you have a chip munch in your engine lol this maybe a tuff one for sure. since you have checked everything easy to see all i have would be deeper in the flywheel area or some place inside the engine. sounds kinda tinny to be any hard part inside but maybe a piston skurt broke and could make that high pitch.

are you sure the exhaust valve was closed during the test on #3? if so yes that would be a big problem. sounds like it maybe time for a rebuild.

i am late in the game here to so i did not read it all but here goes.

get your self a 90* drill or adapter such as this http://www.google.com/products/catalog? … IsBEPMCMAA

then see if you can find a long enough left hand drill bit. then try to drill her out. note after so far in you want the drill bit to stick and turn the bolt out. BEFORE YOU DRILL use some tin foil and tape to mask off everything els around that hole so you don’t put metal shavings in the engine. also some grease on the drill bit will help stop shavings from being thrown around. do a very good job masking everything. if this does not work you will more then likely have to pull that 1 bearing cap off and use a easy out.

as a very last resort you may have to just drill the hole thing out and use some healy coil to replace the threads. not a great way of fixing it so try your best to not have to do this.

                good luck

I don’t know if it’s safe to turn on the vehicle with one of the camshaft retainer bolts missing. Some one could chime in on this.

do not run the car with out that bolt in there. much bigger problems will come out of it.

sounds like you have some how pulled the outer joint apart. you may get lucky and get it back in with some wiggling but if not you will have to replace it or cut the boot buy a new boot and put the joint back together.

yes warped rotors can make a vibration even when not using the brakes. and since you said it is worse when aplying the brakes that is where i would go first.

this is the closest i could find to your vehicle for a video. it will give you the basic idea. and in your case just replace both rotors no matter the condition they look to be in.

any engine should be well above 69psi. that engine shouldn’t even run that low! are you sure you tested it correctly? with a good fully charged battery?

ash? as in the plugs are black ashy looking like oil is being burnt? or as in over fueled? the valves would normally seep slowly when not running and you would just burn oil on startup and clean up after running awhile. sounds to me like it is just worn out. i don’t know the milage on the engine but hard running and poor maintence will eat up a good engine fast. also there is the chance of a bad oil filter once that had a holy threw the filter part it self.

if the plugs are black and ashy from to much fuel and the computer says it is lean i would head to the 02 sensor. I have yet to find a full proof way of testing a 02 sensor other then just replacing it. or them? i am not sure how many your car has off the top of my head.

steam test the intake. plug off the inlet from the air filter and use a smoker or steamer to push steam/smoke into the intake threw and vacum port. take the oil fill cap off while doing so. if the steam/smoke comes out the oil fill cap it is somewhere in the intake. i have seen a few where the intake will crack or a gasket will leak and let the oil be sucked into the intake. it is more common on dodges with the magnum engine but some SBC chevys will do it to.

sounds like one of the joints from steering wheel to the rack is binding up. mite check and make sure non of the joints are at to much of an angle or anything in the way.
