same here with the unique plug for each sensor ….no idea why they didn’t do it that way on this one…
so glad i was able to help someone else. i remember being really frustrated and out of options just before finding it
what actually fixed mine was: there are two identical sensors on the the back side (between the trans and the firewall/ attached to the trans) that have the same identical connection. I had those two connections swapped and didn’t know it. i swapped the two and it fixed everything.
hope this helps.
I was able to get the idle to smooth out by bleeding the coolant system. And it idled ok for a short while then went back to surging and the P2279 code came back.
I rechecked for leaks with carb cleaner and don’t find anything?
sorry. I accidentally double posted this thread. please delete one.
cool thanks.
best i tell this car doesn’t have the capillary tube type bulb….
so the test might not work the same.is there any way to test the expansion valve short of just replacing it and recharging?
its kind of both.
you can select the exact temp you want or – in this case- i just have it on Max Cool.
It will let you scroll the temp down to a certain degree then it just hits Max.i suppose I should just unwrap as much of that sensor’s lead as I can and check for continuity thru the end of the plug…..
