I get Die Hard batteries myself. In fact in the next year or two ill be due for a new battery and it will be a Plus Start from what I understand is a generic Die Hard. All that matters is that the battery has the same or BETTER CCA (Cold-Cranking Amps) it should work. Also make sure you get the right type IE Side or top terminals.
Just returned from Honda service dept.and noticed on my oil change receipt that they installed 5W20 oil instead of the recommended 0w20 oil.Engine oil filler cap clearly states 0W20 along with Honda manual.I am returning to the dealer to have them change to the correct oil.If I was to use 5W20 would I be damaging the engine? This was the 1st oil change. 2013 Honda CRV EXL AWD 5 months old. Have you had any feed back with this situation?

0W20? do you mean 10w20 or Straight 20W? There should be no harm done and it should be good til next 6k miles. Cars are designed to run on various types. For Example: My Daewoo sates it takes 5w20. But it will run perfectly fine with 10w30 and even straight 30W oil. Infact next time i will dump som 10w30 into my car when i do next oil change. Once the engine gets up to temp the oil thins out to the proper vacoscity anyway or so ive been told by various mechanics.

1. Not sure what you mean “Running the engine dead cold” Its around 40F this time of year or even colder.
2. I dont think a Temp sensor is a Issue my Temp guage works perfectly.
3. O2 Sensor is a possibility but i dont know if i have more than one.
4. I dont think Exhauset is pluged. When i stated the car after the plug regap the think bellowed thick white smoke for a good two minutes. Ignition timing could be a issue but my Timing Belt is not due for a change yet.
5. Impossible. I have what many Foreign cars have: a gas door that needs to be opened remotely my car is a lever others such as the VW Bug is a button.

Also i have a leaking valve cover the mechanic i took it to to fix the brakes said its common with my engine. I plan on replacing the valve cover gasket anyway assuming i have a socket the proper size to take the nuts off with.
The sending unit for the gauge is often NOT the same one the computer uses to determine engine temperature.

Have you had the car scanned for codes yet?
not yet we got a spat of snow so I didnt get to it

@grg8888:

I did have a misfire before regapping the plugs… I STILL have a misfire after plug regap but not as bad so it is possible i need new wires too. I cant afford to get the timing fixed if that is the problem nor can i afford to get a new timing belt as doing so would mean well over $600 in repairs over atleast 2 days. The way the engine it is physically easier to pull the engine to replace the CPS or timing belt

@College man:

I did clean off as much oil from the plugs as i could but considering that removing the plugs made the entire plug socket covered in oil and all the oil when into the cylinders when i removed them im sure they got full of oil upon putting them back in.

Well i consulted a Mechanic and they told me i need to replace my Valve cover and plugs since the plugs are oil fouled, however, they did not answer me on if that is causing bad MPGs.
