I am writing to tell you thank you again. Today I went through my log that I keep for all of the service work which I perform on my vehicle. Thanks to you I have saved over $3,000 in labor. Each video you put out has a dollar value that is so high and difficult to put an exact price on. For instance, your videos on brakes. If someone invests a few dollars on tools and follows your instructions you video pays for the tools on the very first service that they do on their vehicle.
Thanks again Eric. Please keep up the good work. Without your site I would not be able to keep my vehicle on the road. I would have to let it go because of the high cost of labor.
I love comments like this. When I started ETCG I was hoping to save people money. Comments like this tell me that I’m doing the job I set out to do. Thank YOU.
I started doing my own oil changes and brake jobs. Best way for me to save money consistently. Driving 300 miles a week in downtown traffic brakes are going to go quickly, so I save a bundle doing the labor myself! Thanks Eric! I think next I’ll try serpentine belt replacement. Seems simple enough!

Interesting story. It’s almost like a reminder of where you came from.

I would check ebay and see if you can find the dealership service manuals for the vehicle. I found a set for my car on ebay. It’s pretty mindblowing all the information that is in there!
I enjoyed the Sonoma series. I felt like I was in the room watching the repair. I love watching different types of engines go together. It’s interesting to see how different manufacturers put things together. My favorites are the domestic V8’s but I can get into the 4’s as well.
Nice job. The series brought me a lot of enjoyment.
I loved it! My past few fridays have been coming home and watching the new ETCG Sonoma video! I’m kinda sad that it’s finished….now what?

I would love to see those older videos! Most people I know that work on cars cuss, complain, and throw wrenches across the garage when things don’t go right. But you seem like the mild mannered mechanic. You are always cool as a cucumber and I think that’s awesome!….or do we have video editing to thank for this? 😆
I am certainly no expert, but I believe the only types of cars that use high stall speed converters are racing cars. This is because their peak power output is higher up in RPM’s and in order to get maximum performance they install high stall speed converters.
Exactly. That’s why when I read that it has a 2000 rpm stall speed, my thinking is you’d really have to step on it to get it to go….?
